ABOUT US
Founded in January 2017 as The Ludwig Academy of Musical Theatre, Ludwig Theatre Arts has grown into an award-winning performing arts organisation creating exceptional training, productions and opportunities for young people and adults across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and beyond.
At the heart of LTA is a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the confidence, creativity and sense of belonging that theatre can bring.
Our weekly Academies provide high-quality training in Musical Theatre, Acting, Dance and Vocals, with classes designed to develop not only performance skills, but confidence, discipline, teamwork and individuality. Alongside regular training, students have access to workshops with leading industry professionals and exciting performance opportunities throughout the year.
Performance has always been central to LTA. From Broadway Junior productions and youth projects to full-scale community musicals and professional productions, we are passionate about creating ambitious theatre and giving performers the opportunity to work in inspiring professional environments.
Over the years, Ludwig Theatre Arts has staged productions including Les Misérables School Edition, Matilda Jr, Chicago Teen Edition, Frozen, Grease and many more, with work presented at venues including The Courtyard Hereford, Regal Tenbury, Conquest Theatre and Ludlow Assembly Rooms. LTA also produces the annual professional pantomime at Ludlow Assembly Rooms and continues to develop new projects, partnerships and opportunities across the region.
Our work has been recognised nationally and regionally, including a NODA West Midlands Award for Best Youth Musical, an Achievement in Ensemble Award at the Musical Theatre International Junior Theatre Festival, and recognition at the Music & Drama Education Awards.
Led by Artistic Director Jack Ludwig and a team of experienced creative professionals, LTA is committed to providing excellent training, ambitious performance opportunities, outstanding safeguarding and above all, a welcoming environment where people can thrive.
Whether you are taking your very first steps onto a stage, looking to develop towards professional training, or simply want to be part of something exciting, there is a place for you at Ludwig Theatre Arts.
